PAUL SHEPHERD, O.D.
Dr. Shepherd was born and raised in upstate New York where he attended Cornell University and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology. Upon graduation he served as a research technician in Physiology at the School of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University. He traveled west, graduating with a Master of Science in Zoology with emphasis on Environmental Physiology from the University of Montana.
Dr. Shepherd then attended Southern California College of Optometry where he received his Doctor of Optometry With Distinction. He moved to the Seattle area and has practiced Optometry in the town of Enumclaw since 1984.
Dr. Shepherd is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Optometric Physicians of Washington. He is a past President of the Pierce County Optometric Association. He is currently a member of the Enumclaw Kiwanis.
Dr. Shepherd and his wife, Yuba, enjoy travel, hiking, skiing and worldwide mission work. One of Dr. Shepherd's recent adventures was a trek to Mount Everest Base Camp with his son Alexander. Dr. Shepherd has also had the privilege to visit Nicaragua and Kenya on eye care mission trips with his wife.
